Observations and predictions
NOAA CO-OPS provides tide predictions, water-level observations, and station information. NOAA NDBC provides buoy observations. Not every station provides every measurement. An observed water level and a predicted tide are different products.
Weather, wind, and waves
Third-party weather and marine services provide model forecasts. Forecast wind animations visualize model values; they do not show a continuous live wind measurement. Wave estimates can differ from buoy readings and conditions at the shore.
The model forecast data is provided under CC BY 4.0. Coastal 360 Pro formats, visualizes, and derives planning indicators from source data. No provider endorsement is implied.
Radar, lightning, and alerts
NOAA / National Weather Service supplies weather alerts and radar products. Available lightning imagery shows strike density for a time interval. It is not a live individual-strike detector. Missing imagery does not establish an absence of lightning.
Future precipitation imagery, where enabled, is a model forecast. It must be distinguished from recent radar observations. Check the frame time, legend, coverage, and stale-data notices.
Maps and place search
Map display uses OpenFreeMap with © OpenMapTiles, © OpenStreetMap contributors and other attribution required by the active map style. Map detail is not a substitute for an official navigation chart.
Place searches use location-search services, including Google Places when configured and the U.S. Census geocoder. Results can be approximate; confirm your chosen station.
Moon and fishing estimates
Moon imagery is sourced from NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio. Sun and moon calculations use SunCalc. Coastal 360 Pro calculates its own solunar ratings, fishing windows, and relative tide-range indicators. Those scores are not official NOAA forecasts of fish activity.
Before you head out
Check official forecasts and marine warnings, verify local conditions, and use appropriate navigation equipment. No screen, score, or color scale establishes that it is safe to go out.
