Who we are

Coastal 360 Pro is operated by Caleb McCumber, referred to in this policy as “we,” “us,” or “our.” This policy covers the information handled through Coastal 360 Pro and www.coastal360pro.com.

For privacy questions or requests, contact caleb@cctv-studios.com. You do not need a Coastal account to contact us or use the app.

Location and searches

Location permission is optional. If you allow it, the app uses your device’s location while you use the app to find nearby stations and conditions. It does not request continuous background location tracking. You can use the app by searching for and choosing a station instead.

Weather, tide, marine, and map requests may include the coordinates of your chosen station or location, station identifiers, and the map area you view. Choosing a station manually still involves sending the selected station’s location to the services supplying its data.

Place searches may send the text you enter to a search provider. Avoid entering private information that is not needed to find a location.

Information on your devices

The app stores selected stations, favorites, recent stations, and preferences such as units, language, and appearance on your device. Station records may include names and coordinates. Recent tide and forecast information may be cached to support the app and its companion features.

On supported Apple devices, station details, favorites, preferences, tide information, and subscription-access status may be shared with widgets, Live Activities, and a paired Apple Watch. The Watch can also request tide information directly from NOAA. Device backups may contain copies, depending on your Apple settings.

The app does not require a separate Coastal login or maintain a Coastal account profile for you.

Services that receive requests

The app connects to outside services to obtain data and operate its features. These services receive the request information they need, which can include coordinates, station IDs, search text, and map areas. Network connections also disclose your IP address and technical information about the request. Providers may retain operational or security logs.

• NOAA and the National Weather Service: tide predictions, water-level and buoy observations, weather alerts, radar, and lightning imagery.
• Weather, marine, and place-search services: forecasts and search results for the coordinates or text supplied by the app. The current forecast-service operator’s privacy notice describes request logging and a 90-day period for individual API logs, which can include IP addresses and request URLs or coordinates.
• OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap-based map services: map styles, tiles, and geographical data for the area being viewed. See the map-service privacy notice.
• Google Places, when enabled, and the U.S. Census Bureau: location and address search results.
• NASA: moon imagery.
• Expo: app-update checks and delivery, including app and runtime identifiers and technical request information.
• Apple: purchases, purchase restoration, device services, and any backups or diagnostics you choose to share through Apple’s settings.

We use these connections to deliver the features you request. They are not advertising connections. External services may process information under their own privacy notices, including when they act independently of us. We require providers processing personal information on our behalf to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us. Contact us if you need help identifying a provider involved in a particular request.

Subscriptions and payment information

Apple processes App Store subscription payments. Coastal 360 Pro receives verified transaction and subscription-status information, including product and expiration details, to unlock access and restore purchases. Access status may also be made available to companion features.

We do not ask for or receive your full payment-card details through the app. Apple maintains its own purchase and payment records. Deleting Coastal 360 Pro does not cancel an Apple subscription or delete Apple’s records.

This website and support

The website’s own code does not set cookies, load advertising or analytics scripts, request your location, or collect information through account or contact forms. Images and fonts are hosted with the site. The hosting service receives IP addresses and technical request details needed to deliver and protect the website, and may use operational logs or essential security features.

If you email us, we receive your address, message, and any details or attachments you provide. We use them to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and handle privacy requests. Our email and hosting providers process information needed to deliver those services. Please send only what is needed; do not send passwords, verification codes, or payment-card details.

How we use and disclose information

We use information to provide requested features, maintain subscription access, respond to support requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising or targeted advertising. The app and website do not include advertising SDKs.

Information may be disclosed to service providers for these purposes, when you ask us to do so, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate misuse, or protect people’s rights and safety.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

We keep information under our control only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. For support correspondence, this depends on whether the request is resolved, related issues remain open, and records are needed for security, a dispute, or a legal obligation. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified. Providers’ operational logs and Apple’s transaction records follow their own retention policies; deleting the app does not erase those records.

• Location permission: change or revoke it in your device’s settings and select stations manually.
• Saved stations: remove favorites in the app. Removing a favorite does not necessarily remove recent-station entries or companion copies.
• Local storage: deleting the iPhone app removes its ordinary local app data. Offloading an app keeps its documents and data. Remove Watch apps and review device backups separately; shared app-group storage or companion caches may have separate lifecycles.
• Information you sent us: email caleb@cctv-studios.com to request access, correction, or deletion. We may need limited information to verify that the request is yours. We will explain any information we must retain and respond within the period required by applicable law.
• Subscriptions: manage or cancel renewal in your Apple Account subscription settings. Uninstalling the app does not stop renewal.

Security and privacy rights

The app’s external service connections use HTTPS. We limit the information requested to what is relevant to operating the service or answering your request. No internet connection or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. Contact caleb@cctv-studios.com to exercise applicable rights. Withdrawing location permission does not prevent manual station selection or affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Contact us for information about a particular provider or request.

Children

Coastal 360 Pro is a general coastal-planning service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through support or this website. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us, contact caleb@cctv-studios.com so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our features or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice or request consent when required by applicable law.
